A dedicated family man, Paul established the family business with his father Mike twenty-five years ago. Today, Paul’s proud of the successful print business they created, offering a personal and competitively priced service, which is all achieved in-house.
Paul enjoys being ‘hands on’ within all aspects of the business. His interest in technical and mechanical developments has ensured that Bulpitt Print’s evolved with the times, embracing the latest technologies used within the industry.
The complete printing service that Bulpitt Print provides guarantees the right print process is used for each customer and at the right price. Paul takes pleasure in knowing all customers personally. Gary Barton – Pre-press
With over three decades of experience within the printing industry and five years working with Bulpitt Print, Gary’s technically skilled, passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the industry and pre-press process.
Dedicated to achieving the best job possible, Gary strives to guarantee that a project is designed and completed to perfection. His extensive knowledge of graphic design software enables him to create ideal solutions across a vast range of differing projects. His instinct and vision means that he develops creative solutions that work.
A Newcastle United fan, Gary enjoys watching football to relax and is an avid reader of all genres, and a big movie watcher.
Derek Talmage – Litho press minder (4 colour)
For the past thirty-four years Derek has been an integral part of the Bulpitt Print team. At sixteen years old, Derek joined what was then Litho Print as an apprentice. Today, Derek is a highly experienced expert in litho 4 colour printing.
With a perfectly trained eye and in-built creative instinct, Derek ensures optimum of colours, sharpness and precision printing is achieved for each project. A self-confessed perfectionist, Derek guarantees a superior standard of quality control is achieved with all print work.
Although, the dedicated family man admits that this attention to detail can make choosing paint and decorating at home a bit of a challenge.
James Hatton - Digital press & Litho single colour
James started his career in the print industry as an apprentice, learning all aspects of the trade. During the past thirteen years he’s been become an experienced and important part of the Bulpitt Print team.
His instinctive understanding of colour consistency and how to achieve the best print by adapting and responding to the changing atmosphere when printing ensures that James is the authority on the digital press and litho single print process. With a perfectionist’s eye for detail, James quality checks all projects he works on.
Outside of work, James is a keen photographer of abstract images and flowers, and uses his impressive knowledge of light and colour when capturing creative images.
Grete Fraser – Print finisher
Grete gives the final finishing touches to all Bulpitt Print work. In this final stage of the print process, Grete ensures all print work is completed with a polished and professional finish.
Having previously worked in Norway as a book binder, Grete, who has worked at Bulpitt Print for the past five years, is skilled in all aspects of print finishing: spiral binding, collating, laminating and trimming print work to size. With an eye for spotting millimetre discrepancies, Grete guarantees projects are finished to a superior standard.
When not busy with day-to-day family life, Grete enjoys being creative with knitting and flower arranging.
Tris Thomas - Graphic designer
Tris is the newest addition to the Bulpitt Print team, and the first point of contact for new customers. Having worked in the print industry since he left school, Tris's prepress experience proved a good grounding when he moved into graphic design over 5 years ago.
Tris is already thriving on the variety of his new role. He enjoys the opportunity to design and develop creative printing solutions for customers, by listening to and interpreting their business or individual project needs.
When he isn't spending time with his young family, Tris enjoys indoor rock climbing and kick boxing!
